‘Dinner with a Difference’ is a unique dining experience hosted monthly by two hatted chef (and our Head Chef), Michael Harris, at WATT Brisbane.
Join Michael as he takes you on a mouth-watering journey exploring seasonally lead dishes from local producers. While the food is what brings us together, Michael is a philanthropic person by nature, and so it’s only natural that his passion for helping others, both locally and nationwide, comes into play when he hosts his dinners. This new dinner series is a chance for Chef to work with his favourite charities, who may not necessarily be well known, create awareness and make a difference with lives outside of our own. Charities are supported every second month, with the kitchen team taking the other month to experiment with fresh and exciting seasonal produce.
Having had the opportunity to travel the globe, from Britain and Europe to New Zealand and Australia, Harris brings inspiration from his travels, along with ensuring the ingredients are the hero of each course. Working with Brisbane’s finest provedores and selecting seasonal produce allows Chef’s dishes to showcase robust flavours and colours available. This also allows guests to taste the best of what Brisbane and Queensland has to offer.
With all this combined WATT and Head Chef Michael Harris mix fresh produce, unique ingredients, with a side of fund raising to create a dinner series with a difference!

All about Michael Harris
Introducing Michael Harris, although he needs no introduction. A two hatted chef, Harris has been a prominent figure in the hospitality industry for over 10 years. Born and raised in the village of Bampton, Oxfordshire in the UK, Harris’s experience is heavily focused on gastronomy and fine dining, having been trained with the famous Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz and Philippe Legendre of La Cinq, both two-Michelin Starred chefs. His concept of ‘Dinner with a Difference’ brings his knowledge of food to you in a dinner series sure to excite the senses and reinvigorate your love for all types of produce and techniques that ordinarily you may not try in your restaurant outings.
